When your looking to start a business or create a website for a business your planning to start, sometimes you are trying to bootstrap it. Finding the cheapest website builder can be tough.
Today I am going to show you the cheapest website builder that is available at the moment.
Below is a snap-shot of website builders and their monthly costs in price order.
WordPress
WordPress.com – cheapest overall website builder of the paid versions ($3/month).
I have two sites and I use WordPress for both.
It is reported that about 70% of websites are created through WordPress. For me using wordpress has been a great learning curve ad can be done by anyone, so it does not surprise me that a large amount of people are using this platform.
Weebly
Weebly – Website Builder for small businesses ($7/month). This is one of 4 price points Weebly has to offer.
Their themes are easy to use however, the drag and drop functionality is limited.
Good value for money when starting out.
GoDaddy
GoDaddy –best for fast building ($6/month).
GoDaddy offers a one stop shop however, the base plans lack some features like, no SSL Certificate, Backups, Security, or Site Migrations.
Jimdo Creator
Jimdo Creator – best value for money($7.50/month).
Jimdo does offer a free version but it really doesn’t offer anything compared to the paid version.
Having said that it is easy to use, especially for those without any previous experience of website building.
Strikingly
Strikingly – best value for money ($8/month).
Strikingly is great for small online stores however, managing hundreds of products on one page may compromise the SEO performance.
They have a really robust and responsive support,out performing some of the larger providers.
IM Creator
IM Creator – best for design-oriented ecommerce ($8/month).
IM Creator will give you a cost affected web builder with an unlimited website hosting for a low monthly fee. The features with IM Creator are limited compared to the other providers.
Host Gator
Host Gator – best introduction to web hosting ($9.22/month).
With a 45 day money back guarantee it easy to see why this is the best introductory web builder available.
They have a free domain for the first year and have been around for a very long time.
The downside is their page speed, it is slow.
SimpleSite
SimpleSite – best for the bare minimum ($11.25/month).
This platform gives you the most simple (Hence the name), website builder. It is easy to use and has minimal steps in creating a basic website.
It is limited in the creative department, so if you are looking for creative freedom, then look to others.
Squarespace
Squarespace – best for creatives ($12/month).
Squarespace provide beautiful templates, this maybe because it is not the easiest site to navigate.
They are continuing to improve the platform which may, in the future become more user friendly. The finished product can be rewarding once you have worked out and completed the page.
Wix
Wix – best overall website builder ($13/month).
This is another user friendly drag and drop site builder with plenty of template available.
Wix provide a domain name service both free and paid.
Apart from WordPress, Wix would have to be one of the main site builders that provide beautiful, professional web design packed with features for all to use.
Another great user friendly platform to create a website.
